The Department of Computer Science and Applications was established in 1995 with the vision of grooming professionally qualified men/women who are competent enough to cope up with the challenges in the IT revolutionized world. In the beginning 60 seats were sanctioned for each BCA batch .At present there are 70 seats including marginal increase for each batch. In 2013, Choice Based Credit Semester System was introduced to bring innovation in education which is expected to improve the quality of education. M.Sc Computer Science was started in the year 2011, which is a 2 year (4 semesters) full time professional course. Each batch has a capacity of 25 students. The department has a strong team of faculty with twelve members, of whom two hold M. Phil. One of our faculty is MG University syndicate member. Four of them are members of the PG/UG Board of Studies of the M G University.
