To create awareness of Women’s rights and to empower women.

  • To promote Women’s equality
  • To create a platform, where every woman is respected and is able to achieve their potential, living free from harm and discrimination.
  • To promote a culture of respect and equality for the female gender.
  • To conduct seminar/workshop to impart knowledge of opportunities and tools available to train the women

Activities

  • 2019-2020

Activities in women’s cell is inaugurated on 16 October 2019 by Dr. Preethi Aleyamma John. On the occasion, she made a speech on the topic “Health Issues in Teen-Age girls”.  

A Seminar was conducted on 05TH March 2020 by Dr. Adithi (Retd. Professor of Psychology, M G College, Thiruvananthapuram) on the topic “Gender Issues”.

  • 2018-2019

Dr. M S Sunil, renowned Social Activist inaugurated the Women’s Cell activities for the year. On the occasion, she spoke about the need to build a critical mass of trained women, competent to hold high positions in society. She highlighted the idea that women should be more self-reliant to empower the society.

“Malayalee Manka” competition was conducted on 01st November 2018.

Poster designing competition was conducted on the topic “Sthree Innale, Innu, Nale”, on 07th January 2019.

The valedictory function was held in March 2019.

 

  • 2017-2018

On occasion of the inaugural function, AdvocateManoj Krishna (Associate Professor, Govt. Law College, Thiruvanthapuram), delivered a speech on “Women’s Rights”.

Conducted a class on “Health an Hygiene” for the 1st Year students on 02nd December 2017. Dr. Indu C Nair (Asso. Prof. Bio-Technology) gave an elaborate presentation on the topic. During the interaction section, a few students raised questions and clarified their doubts.

  • 2016-2017

Inauguration of Women’s Cell was done by Dr. Rosamma Philip (Asso. Prof., Mount Tabour Training College, Pathanapuram) on 27th January 2017. She elaborated on the topic “Personality Development”. The presidential address was delivered by Prof. Mohan Raj, Principal.
