The Department of Commerce of SAS SNDP Yogam College is offering only one programme which is CCBCSS B Com Model I. The Mahatma Gandhi University to which the college is affiliated is offering Model I, Model II and Vocational B Com programmes. The optional of the programme is Finance and Taxation. The programme runs in an open course system whereby the students of B Com must choose the open courses offered by the other graduate departments of the college in the fifth semester. The sanctioned strength of students of the B Com programme is sixty with a marginal increase of ten to twenty percent sanctioned by the university from time to time. The Commerce Department is offering Fundamentals of Accounting as their open course. The students can choose between Hindi or Malayalam as second language in their first year. Dr. S.Sajeev was the HOD of Commerce during the period 1995-1997. He joined duty In IMG, Kerala.Thereafter Sri. Joy V S took charge as the HOD of Commerce. He got appointed in Government College as professor of commerce. After that Sri. P S Pradeeep kumar took charge as the HOD of commerce in the year 2000 onwards.
